Yorell Manon-Matos, MD

Dr. Manon was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, USA and raised outside Philadelphia, PA. He graduated with a degree in molecular biology in 2000 from Princeton University. In 2004 he received his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School. He then completed internship at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and residency in general surgery at Baystate Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine in 2009. He completed his fellowship in hand and microsurgery in 2010 at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Prior to joining CNOS in September 2015, Dr. Manon practiced in Louisville, KY. He entered practice in 2010 as an attending hand surgeon at the Kleinert Kutz Hand Care Center in Louisville, KY. He was also Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery with the Division of Hand Surgery at the University of Louisville School of Medicine where he was active in the teaching of hand fellows, orthopaedic and neurosurgery residents, as well as medical students. He has authored numerous publications and given presentations at national and international meetings. Dr. Manon is certified by the American Board of Surgery, and maintains subspecialty certification in Surgery of the Hand. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is an active member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Association for Hand Surgery, and the Arthroscopy Association of North America.
