Joseph A. Morris, MD

Dr. Morris graduated from The University of Iowa-College of Medicine in 1986. In 1991 he completed his surgical residency at the University of Nebraska-Medical Center.

Dr. Morris has been practicing in general surgery since 1991. He performs thoracic, cancer, laparoscopic and vascular surgery in addition to the wide array of surgeries offered by most general surgeons. He is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons and is Board Certified with the American Board of Surgery.

Starting in 2012, Dr. Morris has started to do many of his laparoscopic surgeries using the da Vinci robotic system. Gallbladder, hernia, colon, stomach, lung and esophageal surgeries are many of the surgeries that Dr. Morris now does with the da Vinci robotic system as well as with laparoscopic surgery and traditional open surgeries.

Dr. Morris practice is the best of both worlds including the latest technologies but also 17,000 surgeries worth of experience.

Dr. Sunu Philip graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2002, completed his General Surgery residency from South African College of Surgeons in 2011, and his fellowship in abdominal transplantation in 2012 from Westchester Medical Center. He completed his residency in General Surgery from Providence Park Hospitals in 2018 and his Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery in 2020 from Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Philip is a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Valerie K. Tallerico-Antonopoulos specializes in Podiatry. She received her education from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa where she became a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Tallerico-Antonopoulos completed her Podiatry residency at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center – Mercy in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. Podiatric foot and ankle surgery are Dr. Tallerico-Antonopoulos’ specialties.

Michael Wadzinski, MD

Michael Wadzinski, MD

Dr. Michael Wadzinski is Board Certified and specializes in diseases and surgery of the vitreous and retina.

He received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska where he graduated with honors, and he completed prestigious Sarnoff research fellowship at Harvard under the direction of Dr. Judah Folliman. It was at this time that he studied growth factors which are important in many eye diseases such as macular degeneration and diabetes.

He then completed an internal medicine internship and Ophthalmology residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center where he received the honor of a top resident physicians from the University Hospital, in addition to receiving the outstanding resident research award. In his final year, he served as chief resident.

He completed a retina fellowship at Devers Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon.

A native Nebraskan, Dr. Wadzinski has lived in Sioux City for over 20 years providing exceptional retinal eye care to the Siouxland community. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Iowa Academy of Ophthalmology, Woodbury County Medical Society, and the American Society of Retina Specialists.

Tibor Warganich, MD

Tibor Warganich, MD

Dr. Tibor Warganich graduated with honors and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology from UC Davis, and his medical degree from UC San Diego. He completed his residency in Orthopaedics at UCLA and a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic.

In his free time, Dr. Warganich enjoys spending time with his wife, their 3 children, and 2 large Siberian Huskies.
